Leveraging digital solutions to address growing waste management issues, promote the circular economy, encourage responsible waste disposal and increase awareness on the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle) amongst the general public.

Food Rescue and Food RecoveryFood Rescue and Food Recovery

Aims to reduce wastage and divert food fit for consumption from landfills.

In collaboration with The Lost Food Project, we collected surplus flood from various supermarkets and distributed it to those in need, supporting approximately 350 people across eight charities.

By rescuing surplus food and ensuring it does not go to waste, this initiative not only conserves resources and reduces methane emissions, but also reduces food insecurity and poverty.

Green Bean Environmental Education Programme

Exposes young students to the principles of environmental conservation and protection, creating a positive change for our planet and future.

In 2023, through the Green Bean programme by Axiata Foundation and Forest Interactive Foundation, 120 kids aged 10 to 12 learned to protect and care for the environment via a two-day adventure of learning and fun, with 16 passionate AxiataCares Volunteer (ACV) contributing their time and effort to share valuable environmental knowledge.

Through indoor and outdoor activities, we aim to nurture young eco-warriors who are true champions for the planet we share, as well as help them develop key skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, strengthening their ability to make a difference.
