Enabling Digital Leaders of Tomorrow

The Axiata Digital Leaders Programme for Youth 2024 young Malaysian professionals with the capabilities to thrive in the digital world.

Through a comprehensive curriculum, cutting-edge training and hands-on experiences, participants are provided with the knowledge, tools and mindset to embark on a digital career. This is complemented by leadership and digital fluency training, through which they are positioned to drive innovation and play a role in Malaysia’s ongoing digital transformation.

About The Programme

ADLP For Youth brings together undergraduate students and young professionals in a collaborative, residential bootcamp environment, with modules delivered across virtual and physical settings.

What does the programme cover?

Participants will engage in workshops covering crucial aspects of digital leadership, business skills, and digital proficiency in specialized areas such as digital intelligence, digital marketing, or digital finance.

These digital skills workshops will be enhanced by customizing Digital Citizenship guidelines, ensuring a holistic and tailored approach to their learning experience.

There will be multiple challenges introduced at selected intervals.


Who can apply?

Applications are open to all Malaysian citizens and permanent residents who are young professionals with at least six months of cumulative work experience.

Additionally, participants must be residing in Malaysia, between the ages of 23 to 28, have an interest in digital knowledge and own a laptop. Only candidates from families with a household income of RM5500 or less are eligible.

How many participants will be selected?

100 participants will be selected per year.


How many bootcamps will be held?

Four bootcamps, both virtual and physical, will be held throughout the year. The camp dates will be communicated to successful applicants.

What are the stages in the application process?

Online Application

Submit your application through the Axiata Foundation website. Your application will then be screened by the Axiata Foundation team.

Online Assessment

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will receive an invitation to participate in an engaging online assessment.

Online Interview and Offer Letter

Individual interviews will be conducted, following which offer letters will be sent out within 30 working days.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

ADLP equips Malaysian youths with leadership and digital capabilities to thrive in the digital world, while AYTP empowers Malaysian youths with leadership and business capabilities to become future CEOs.

The programme has only one intake per year.

Four bootcamps, both virtual and physical, will be held throughout the year. The camp dates will be communicated to successful applicants.

Participants will be trained on basic secondary digital skills in areas such as data analytics and AI, while building primarily on core skills of the 4Cs (communication, creative thinking, critical thinking and collaboration) in the context of digital citizenship.

The programme also covers digital leadership, business skills, and core digital skills such as digital marketing, digital finance, and data intelligence.

No, there will not be any fees borne by the participants. All expenses incurred during the programme will be borne by Axiata Foundation.

We will provide participants with offer letters. These aim to ensure participants attend the programme in full and adhere to all other codes of conduct set by ADLP and Axiata Foundation throughout the duration of the programme.

No, participants will not be bonded to either organisation after graduating from the programme. However, you will be invited to join the Alumni Association.

Yes, the programme is designed to cater to varying levels of digital knowledge and provides all participants with the opportunity to develop their digital capabilities.

It is not advisable for you to request to edit your application once submitted. As such, please confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete before submitting your application.

To protect the validity and integrity of the assessment data, retakes within a 9-month duration will not be allowed. Please be honest and do your best when completing the Online Assessment.

No, all Online Interviews (Stage 3) will take place virtually. Invited candidates will be informed ahead of time and will need to plan accordingly.

Our shortlisting process is done on a rolling basis, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an online interview in due process during the application period.

Applicants will be notified every two weeks of their progress.
